We spilled over to this place after a comedy show at Helium Comedy Club and I was not disappointed... food was good, beer selection was awesome, and the crowd was happening! Great place to hang with friends and maybe find new ones and pound down you favorite beers!

I had the mussels and beer, and the husband had the shepherd's pie and beer. My meal was delicious, though the husband wasn't as pleased with his pie. The beers are good, probably the best we had in Philly (which surprisingly, has too many IPAs and lagers, and not enough browns and stouts for my taste). A relaxing pub visit... More

As advertised it is the oldest bar in Philadelphia. That 6/2 pint beer tasting for $7.50 is unbelievable! The place is always packed it's on a little side street you feel like you're off in the middle of who knows where and they are very hospitable get downstairs is packed going upstairs. It's really and 18th century Wing & Beer... More

Love this place! Very tastefully decorated. Most pubs are kind of dingy, but this one isn't at all. My happy spot in Philly!

Certainly a local hot spot for bar food and a variety of craft beers and spirits. Fortunately we arrived in prior to the night crowd arriving as there was hardly room to get through on our way out so keep that mindful if you're not a fan of tight quarters. They have a bottom and top floor with equal sitting... More

We were in town for a meeting. A friend of an associate is a Philly Cop. Who better to know where the night spots are. We visited McGillan's and had a pint, (or two). A great time was had by all.

Out on business with colleagues and had dinner and a beer. I ate the grilled chicken sandwich and it was phenomenal! Had an octoberfest beer to top it off. Great local place!

We love the decor. There are signs from old Philadephia department stores (Wanamaker's, Gimbels, Lit 's), restaurants, and other businesses. Also, old sheet music and photos mix in with beer signs, holiday decorations (all holidays together) and current celebrations (Olympics when we went). There is a huge beer list. My husband and I each chose a different pilsner. My cousin... More
