The Independence Visitor Center is the gateway to America's Most Historic Square Mile. Located in the heart of Independence National Historical Park, the official Visitor Center of the region is the exclusive location to pick up free-timed tickets to tour Independence Hall.

The Independence Visitor Center also provides visitor services and amenities, including a multilingual staff fluent in nine languages, on-site ticketing to more than 60 area attractions and tours, free regional maps and brochures, comprehensive daily event listings, and free informative historical films and wireless internet access.

The Visitor Center is also the primary point of orientation for the City of Philadelphia, the Southern New Jersey and Delaware River Waterfronts, as well as Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties in Pennsylvania.

Even if this isn't your first visit to Philly, the Visitor Center is a plethora of information, flyers, discount tickets and a great place to begin learning about US history. This building also serves as a location for the US Parks Dept, where you MUST pick up your FREE ticket to see Independence Hall. FYI, expect airport like security screening... More

Good modern building with plenty of helpful staff available. This is where you pick up your free ticket s to view Independence House. Refreshments, Restrooms and a gift shop are all here with an exhibition of the history of the area.

Go to the visitors center BEFORE going to see the liberty bell or Independence Hall. You need a ticket to go into Independence Hall which is based on a time stamp even though it is FREE. There are bathrooms in the center and the parking garage is below it. There are also two videos that are not really advertised within... More

Clean restrooms, large gift shop, very helpful Park Rangers. Good exhibits. Parking below Center is very convenient and not too costly, considering it is the very center of the historic district.

Very friendly staff. Great place to start visiting this city. Ticket counters for various attraction centers like museums. Good to start early in the day and take a city pass to visit all the places in the city!!!

This is where to plan your day. It's literally in the center of everything and has all the tourist conveniences. You can book tours and get advice. There's food and rest rooms. It's near The Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and The Constitution Museum. Come early for free walk up tickets to tour Independence Hall. It's first come first served. You... More

The last time we visited the visitor center it was only a small little booth in middle of center city. They now have built a huge visitors center and offers numerous tours and lots of visitor information
