Good place to stop in for a couple informative movies and history of the area. In the summer, it is a good stop too cool off for a while before getting back to seeing the sites. Clean restrooms on site.

I broke my sandal on the way to the center. Of course all the shops are closed since it's 8 am! One friendly custodian gave me his super-duper duct tape and my sandal lasted all day! Thank you to the employee who helped me!

The visitor center was very crowded, but did offer some good resources and was a welcome respite from the heat.
