Rrrrr Dinosaur. Went withe the family to watch Pepp Pig. It was our 1st visit and lucked out by picking Parque box seats. They were a good choice with adequate room for adults and a good view for kids just make sure you get one of the 1st three seats in the box for your little ones. The theatre was... More

My mother and I went to see the Sound of Music here. When you walk in you feel like you are a part of history! The auditorium is graced by a large crystal chandelier. Seated on the cornice above are the figures of Poetry, on the left, and Music, on the right. The elaborate carvings and wood sculpture decorations, and... More

The building is breathtaking. Words can't describe how beautiful the interior is. The negative was we sat on the first row balcony and the railing made it difficult for me to see the stage. My husband who is over 6 foot had no problem seeing the stage. The bathroom line at intermission was ridiculously long, not enough stools! Next time I... More

We were totally in awe, walking into this elegant facility and somewhat surprised, as first time visitors, that we could not find its name of it in our program which featured the near-by Kimmel Center while not mentioning the Academy of Music at all. As with most theatres, the restroom lines were long, so keep that in mind if you... More

Decor is elegant and historical. Once you navigate the very steep stairs and get seated the show that we saw "Carole King Beautiful" was really something to enjoy. All the actors-actresses were spot on, the songs were all exceptional.

Just going to the Academy of Music is an event in itself; the building's architecture is a pleasure of the past and it's ornately decorated and remains a piece of Phila's proud history. There's plenty of parking in any direction around the venue and with ticket in hand, there's easy access through one of it's many entrances secured by a... More

Saw Don Quixote. A wonderful ballet in a wonderful old building. It was refurbished a few years ago and they kept the beautiful architectural elements. I go often and always enjoy the ambience.

Had the chance to enjoy Pippin last week and the Academy of Music. The theater is absolutely gorgeous. The show was outstanding. Had great seats and fairly priced. It was a fantastic experience.

We saw Cold Mountain at the Academy of Music last night and enjoyed the theater. It is a lovely grand dame but also affords an intimate setting. Legroom is very tight. Anyone over 6'2 might want to opt for stalls. A most enjoyable evening.
