I've been to the Rodin Museum in Paris, and this one if very reminiscent of that location. It's small, easy to digest, and inspiring. Take an hour on an afternoon and treat yourself to this beautiful getaway in the heart of the city.

I had known about this museum, but didn't know that it was founded by a movie magnate who admired and collected Rodin's works. This small museum and garden house the collection. The key pieces, "The Thinker" and "The Gates of Hell," are front and center as is "the Burgher of Calais." The busts off the main hall are also interesting.... More

This cute little museum has beautiful grounds and world-famous pieces inside and out. It's a little oasis in the middle of Philadelphia, tucked away in the park. Admission prices are "recommended" and you get a credit for your donation if you visit the Art Museum. Worth a stop - walk around the garden, enjoy the building and sculptures outside, then... More

Small, doesn't take a long time to go through. The gardens in front of the museum are very reminiscent of European one's. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I am such a fan of Rodin'a sculpture. I fell in love with art when I saw a photo of The Kiss for the first time. What a treat to see this reproduction of the original so I could walk around it and get a feel for scale. This intimate museum houses a significant collection of Rodin's bronzes, plaster, and... If you can't go inside, visit the open, free garden. Amazing experience. There are eight works in the garden...from among Rodin's most famous/popular.

If you already bought a ticket to the Philadelphia museum of art then you might as well stop here since it is free with your art museum ticket. Our 3 and 5 year old were ready to go before we started so that did not bode well for the museum but I really enjoyed the sculptures and learned quite a... More

Great stop to visit. Not only for Rodin sculptures but for the other art as well. Getting up close to a Monet and others, unlike in the busier museums. The gardens are a great respite in a busy city. The sculptures are interesting as well. I highly recommend this as one of your stops.

We visited the Rodin Museum in Paris and while this Museum in Philadelphia does not have as many pieces it is still reputed to have the second largest number of his works. Recently renovated, the museum is attached to the Philadelphia Museum of Art so you can visit both with one ticket. It's well worth a visit if you like... More
