The line moves quickly. It's very well organized by the security detail and they are polite to tourists who don't know the rules. Seeing the bell is a must for every American.

A wonderful and stirring experience to stand where those great men who founded our nation worked to create a better life for us. See the chair with the sun design which Franklin would, after consideration as to it being a setting or raising, determine was indeed a raising sun as our new nation would rise. There is no entry fee... More

Being able to meander through Independence Hall following through the steps of our founding fathers would have been awe inspiring on its own. We had a tour guide who knew his stuff and clearly enjoys what he does. This brief tour was the perfect start to a self guided visit of historic Philadelphia.

OK so maybe my title is a bit tongue-in-cheek and I guess\know this bell is of major importance to Americans, but as a tourist I was slightly undewhelmed by this attraction . . .like I said - a bell with a crack and some shoddy repair work ;-)

Express tour well worth the time. Incredible to see actual sites where our founding fathers formed our country. Line wait can be long and it's all standing so wear your comfy shoes.

We avoided traveling far away over the holiday weekend but it was a great weekend independent hall was full of history and very informative. You have to get tickets at the visitor center and they are so helpful too.

If you are in Philadelphia--a native or a visitor--you can't do better than a visit to Independence Hall on the 4th of July. There are only a couple of speeches and some patriotic songs, and the bell ringing at 2 PM. There are plenty of chairs and lots of trees. Not a lot of flash, but a lot of patriotism.... More
