We took the gondola up and then hiked down the 7 mile trail. There were fantastic views the entire time. Make sure you bring plenty of water and sunscreen with you.

Started fairly early. Much easier to get a parking spot. Parking is limited. You walk through mostly forested areas, winding up the switch backs. Then you get a beautiful view of Mary, George and TJ Lakes below. Shortly you will see a sign that says...More

We took the Gondola up and hiked down to the Main Lodge. Bring lots of water and snakes the trail is quite exposed for the first part.

This is a steep difficult trail. Undertake this trail knowing your limitations. Pack lunch, water, sunscreen, and get ready for a workout.Some of the best Easten Sierra scenery.

this is a great hike for anybody into the outdoor, once you get to the to of the trail you will be greeted with great views. Take water

Very nice hike. Great views. It can be very windy along the crest. We did not meet a lot of people although we hiked on a Saturday. It appears that most people just do the first half mile or so.

I just went on the Mammoth Mt. website and it doesn't look like the gondola is open right now. They are going to open in November and you may be able to ride when the open. For more information Tickets: Available online, by... More
