Ok...the lake is gorgeous...but the restaurant is amazing. Make reservations. Loved the trout and the table side preparation of the Bananas Foster!

Set 2 miles back from CA395, Convict Lake is backdropped by the Eastern Sierras and Laurel Mountain. In addition to the highly regarded lodge, there is hiking and, when conditions are right, outstanding photography. Depending on your location, the wind, angle of the sun, you...More

Excellent wild game and Scotch. Their best Scotch is Dalwinne. There is also a full bar. Been going here for dinner since 1986.

I visit Convict lake at least three times a year. It has so much beauty. It is also very romantic in the evenings especially if you enjoy the restaurant before at Convict Lake.

pretty and a nice day trip - very close to Mammoth. Walk around the lake and read about the history.

Love this lake, been coming here for years. Really love the restaurant at Convict Lake. We have enjoyed horseback riding, staying in the rustic cabins, the nice house/cabins, rented boats, been snowed in, fished the lake- Convict is of our favorite places in E.S.

We hiked around Convict Lake in February with limited snow and ice. This is a 3 mile loop with well maintained trail. There is plenty of parking near Lake. Don’t forget to bring lunch.
