FTR, this was the first time I've been to Dutch Springs. I'm sure it was much better before, but my experience over two days of diving couldn't allow me to justify it being an odd occurrence. There are wrecks to see, but the algae was so prevalent that visibility was literally 6 ft max. This makes navigation and staying together... More

Hi Ken, The algae bloom here is a seasonal occurrence that happens in the warmest month of the year, August. Before zebra mussels inhabited the lake, average visibility was 10-15ft, with the best vis in the spring or fall up to 30ft. After zebra mussels, many divers have experienced vis in the spring/fall of up to 60-70ft, with the average... More

We came after lunch on a Saturday in August...it was crowded but not unbearable. My kids (ages 5, 7, 10, and 13) loved it but its definitely more for older kids (8 and up). The price is really reasonable if you are making a day of it but after 3 hours, we were done. We didn't do the snorkeling though... More

Been diving there for over 20 yrs. Did my first open water dive there, It was great back then. You could setup your area, suit up and dive, dive, dive without worrying about items left in your area. I just dive right out of the car. I was a season pass holder for years, the best way to go, but... More

We enjoyed our day at Dutch Springs Aqua Park however our experience on the day of our visit was just average. We made four big mistakes that kept this from being a great day. One, we came on the last Friday before school starts for lots of kids so it was VERY crowded and there is no crowd control here... More

We went to Dutch Springs for the first time last weekend and my teenagers had a blast! They want to go back already. A friend and I took 6 teenagers between us - ages 13-16. Even though there were a lot of people there, it was a Sunday, there's plenty to do in the water. Its like a Teen Bounce... More

Dutch Springs has done a great job in providing a solid diving experience, with many sunken entities to dive on. At this time, in August, the algae bloom was bad, with viz at 5-10' and sometimes as low as 3'. That didn't stop the massive influx of dive schools on Saturday.

My husband and daughter were coming up here to get their advanced open water dive certification and they suggested that my son & I join them. We ended up spending the day at the water park. My son loved the obstacles and slides, I loved that I could sit on the "boardwalk" and watch him having fun. I went in... More

My family of 6 visited last year & loved it. Great fun for the entire family. Kids aged between 8-15years. Bring your beach chairs, blanket & cooler and you're all set. We are heading back next week!

Just took my 13 and 10 year old and their friends to Dutch Springs. It was super hot and a Friday so very crowded. The water was a perfect refreshing temp though. The teenagers had a blast and so did the 10 year olds but I did end up having to get in (was kind of hoping not to) to... More

I have been here several times over the past 3 yrs - it's not expensive - and when Cat Country does their sweet deals I buy as many as I can. Pack lunch bring chairs/blanket - snack bar is reasonable and food good if you don't want to bring - FILL out WAIVER on line saves a lot of time... More
