This is a great reminder that PEOPLE actually lived and worked in such a severe environment. It is neat to see the old wagons and ruins.

Some interesting facts about borax discovery & mining in the valley. A short trail takes you around artifacts with informational signs along the way. Large parking lot. Can be a hot hike on hot days. Very near the Furnace Creek Visitors Center.

This is a pleasant and quick stop that I think is very important for those who want to understand how hard life was working there around that time. The displays are in good condition, in spite of the weather of Death Valley.

This attraction deserves a 30-minute stop to explore the short path, displays and writing. Don't forget to drive along Mustard Canyon for the beautiful yellow mustard color of rocks and interesting formations.
