Located in a quiet residential area near downtown Bradenton, this historical park has a visitor center with artifacts and a video about the first Europeans in that area of Florida. The weapons presentation is very interesting. Nice walk under the trees, with the Manatee River...More

This was an excellent historic spot that included hands-on things for the kids AND nice-size walking loop, historic information well presented, and a beautiful spot to watch the boats on the river. Would recommend this spot above Robinson Preserve for families.

Despite the sad history of this Memorial, the park is lovely. A nice trail for people and their dogs to take a leisurely stroll. There's a narrow beach with shallow water making it great for kids to romp and dogs to chase the ball. There's...More

It started out bad with only two handicapped spaces provided which, of course, were taken. We began at the Visitor Center which provided some interesting literature including a map of the site. There is also a small gift shop and clean bathrooms. Do not miss...More

Take the time to seek out this attraction. It's a beautiful spot to visit. The history is very well explained around the grounds and in the visitor center. The walking trails are stunning.
