We enjoyed the Dinosaur Museum while visiting family in Grand Junction, CO last October. And although the facility is showing its age - no pun intended - the displays are well designed and reasonably well organized. Very informative for adults and children including a very...More

If you have, or have ever had, and interest in dinosaurs, be sure to stop here. It's cheaper and less crowded than your home city's natural history museum, and it is all dino content.

Traveling with a 5 and 7 yo. Both enjoyed the museum and the “live” dinosaurs. Not so big as to be over whelming. Took us about an hour. Price was $25/family.

A great place to see dinosaur bones and motorized replicas of what dinosaurs may have looked like. Thee is also a machine that simulates a earthquake.

Be sure to watch the informational video before touring the museum. There are plenty of interactive exhibits for young and old and an active lab area behind glass where people are working on dinosaur material (not all days). The museum store is well stocked with...More

Was neat, lots of good pics and fossils, hands on activities for the kiddos. A look into the lab with big windows is nice... i dont buy into the millions of years though :-)

This place is great for all ages, and is entertaining as well as informative. I don't know why it took me so long to visit.

So the animatronics of this museum is what we enjoyed especially the one spitting water. My husband and grandson set me up and pushed the Dilophosaurus dinosaur to squirt me and my camera as I walked across the small bridge. Yes, it was funny! Our...More

Very popular place on the day we visited -- many children who seemed to be not supervised, which made the experience less enjoyable for this adult. But, our 13-year-old grandson found plenty to enjoy. Some of the exhibits are animatronic, which are fun for the...More

Well, I do understand that it may seem to be all one town but this is actually in Fruita, not between the two. Just to the south of the McDonald's on the road heading to the CO National Monument. It is part of the Museum of... More
