Worth the visit and incredible new technology. Lots of exhibits and artifacts. Could be too much for younger children, but should be mandatory for teenagers and up.

The museum is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. The exhibits are well done and very informative. The variety of displays will appeal to a wide range of ages and interests. The 180 degree theatre is fun with the special effects. I learned a lot about the American Revolution and it's aftermath.

This museum is newer, beautiful and chock full of history. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and brought history to life. Would definitely go back and highly recommend to others.

My wife and I love visiting museums. My daughter hates them. Not so at this museum. The displays and theaters, especially the theater at the beginning and particularly the one at the end, were fantastic. It is the first time we have taken her to a museum that she has actually said "I enjoyed that---and I learned a lot...".

This incredible new museum provides a comprehensive review of the Revolutionary War and American history in the late 1700's. We were very impressed by breadth of artifacts, the excellent descriptions for each article, the movies, and the attention to detail used in the architecture, paint, and floors of each room. A wonderful learning experience for everyone. Kids will especially like... More

The American Revolution Museum of Yorktown is a relatively new museum so the displays, films, interactive components and information has a fresh appearance to it all. The issues and the events that led up to the Battle of Yorktown is portrayed in this wonderful museum. That means that all the people, events and thoughts that led up to the Revolutionary... More

This is a museum well worth visiting. Very well laid out, informative and interesting. Takes a couple of hours max to do it all so not too overpowering! Great for children as well as adults. You should really do Jamestown first to get the historical timeline right but we didn't for various reasons and it still fits together! But do... More

As seniors and retired military, we passed up on getting the Historic Triangle Pass when we went to Colonial Williamsburg the first day of our vacation as the cashier at CW said that we would save a couple of bucks by getting the annual CW pass and buying a combo ticket at either this museum or at the Jamestown Settlement.... They have done a fantastic job with the museum! The videos bring the war to a personal level by telling the story from the perspectives of women, Native Americans & African-Americans. We thoroughly enjoyed it!
