The shuttle service to the top of the Chiricahuas is a great way to begin this hike. We loved the Heart of the Rocks Loop, and the CCC history of this area.

We hiked to this area from the bottom. I believe when other roads are open there is an easier hike possible. The rock formations are wonderful, and once you get to the Heart of Rocks Loop there are even more interesting groupings that have been...More

Utterly transporting location. Made us 50-somethings feel like kids again. Great spot to sit over a sack lunch and really contemplate the phantasmagorical pinnacles and balanced rocks. Nice winding trail with some uphill, but any doubts as to the route is relieved by the fading...More

Heart of the Rocks loop requires you to hike about 7 miles to get to and is specular. The massive rock outcropings in this park are really something to view. Shorter Hikes are available in the park and you can drive to scenic outlooks areas...More
