Beautiful lake with great, clean aminities. Saw 2 doe with babies, one with twins! Awesome place! Didn't spend much time at the lake as we were on our way back to our trailer but we did use the restroom and they were very clean!

This is a beautiful large lake used for boating and fishing. There is a path around it that is stroller, wheelchair friendly. There are benches at intervals along the path. It is quite beautiful and gets crowded on the weekend. Parking is available.

Beautiful little lake with picnicking areas, walking/exercise path, pavilion for gatherings. Eventhough this is park of the large National Park known as Chickasaw National Recreation Area, it feels almost like a private lake. Most folks go to Lake of the Arbuckles at this Park for...More

We drove up and accidently found this little jewel. There is a walking, biking trail all the way around the recreation area. There is also a small pier to fish or just sit and watch the day go by. We had a fun time.

A quiet place to get away from it all. Paved 3 mile trail all the way around. Just watch for rattle snakes. They are thick.

This small lake is a great place to kayak. We took our inflatable two person kayak out on its maiden voyage. The wildlife was spectacular and the scenery was very lovely. There is a paved path all the way around the lake that's easy to...More

Veteran's Lake has held up well through the drought. One of its best features is the approximately 3 mile long trail around it's edge; the other an abundance of places to picnic, a covered pavilion, and plenty of restrooms. It's not the place to go...More

The lake is surrounded with rocks and tree limbs which your line continues to get stuck in. We caught two very small fish that were not keepers. Definitely not a fishing spot.

Nice small lake with areas to camp and swim around it. Excellent walking/bike trail all the way around the lake and connects to the campgrounds. You can take a short walk to the top of bromide hill for a beautiful view.
