We took a walk on the Ventura Pier and Promenade one evening after dinner. It is a very pleasant place to walk. There are a few restaurants and a gift shop on the pier. There were quite a few people fishing and others walking. There...More

Loved that it was from 1872 and still standing strong..nice views of the ocean and back over the beach and downtown. Mesmerising to watch the ocean, very peaceful. Lovely fish restaurant and a taco hut on the pier and there is a little kids playground...More

This is one of my favorite piers in California. Ventura is a beach town for everyone. Santa Barbara and Santa Monica are fine, but the pier in Ventura has no pretense. It is there to enjoy and you know it because people are there fishing,...More

This is my favorite place to walk in Ventura. I have enjoyed walking and riding bike on the Promenade. Must pay for parking unless you eat at the Aloha Restaurant.

The pier is fine, nothing special, but we enjoyed walking out to the end for a nice walk. Easy walk, no smoking, and a nice cafe at start.

I've never seen this place really busy, but I only go here once every couple of years. You will need to pay for parking in the hotel parking structure, or below in the open parking area (no roof), down the road. It's a dead-end down...More
