Very good museum. They have everything you need to know about the area, and more. Exhibitions change and they're not always so closely linked to Little Rock but still professionally gathered and curated. The price is very cheap for what you get and the personnel very kind.

Very nice museum! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable!! The only downfall is the the cabins across from the museum weren't open.

The museum grounds is very nice with the out buildings although we weren't able to do the tour as they had school groups the day we visited. The Native American exhibit was very informative and well done however the rest was just galleries that didn't hold much interest. Wish we had chosen a different day to be able to visit... More

Very well done small city museum. They have some quality items in their permanent collection, and manage to switch up fairly often. I've visited about half a dozen times in the past ten years- hasn't bored me yet.

There are two components to this museum. First, free of charge, you can roam around 2 floors of spacious and well laid our exhibits covering the Native American tribes in Arkansas, the Bowie knife, early photography in Arkansas, and state history. Second, for a very nominal charge ($2.50 each), you can get a guided tour of a number of old... More

Had a few hours to kill before our flight out of LIT, and we spotted this as a "free" attraction on Trip Advisor, so we decided to check it out. Spent about an hour browsing the various rooms - enjoyed the mix of native American to Americana. Worth stopping if you have the time!

The art museum was super. Variety of AR artists and excellent displays of native American art. The tours of the mid-1800 homes and buildings was so interesting. Excellent tour guide.

I have visited this museum twice over the years and enjoyed it each time. You first enter a large and modern information center, museum complex and gift shop where knowledgeable people stand ready to help you. In this building you can find wonderful exhibits about the history of Little Rock and the lady who first set this downtown block aside... More

stopped to see an artist friend's exhibit here on a friday morning. Free admission to the areas I wnated to see. It's a city block or two with all kinds of different displays. An outdoor area reminds me of Colonial Williamsburg. I was in the art gallery and historic areas. Two levels with classrooms areas. Nice and modern. staff very... More

From the cannon ball stuck in the foundation wall , to the explanations of life at the time- it was an informative stroll. The design is a wonderful example of old homes from the period - the closed breezeway and stair well - with large rooms off each side. the grounds and outbuildings were well kept, too. For someone who... More
