I am a middle-aged mom whose years of adventure and high-risk propositions are well in the past. But I knew that my kids, in particular my fearless teenage daughter and her friends who like to go, go, go all the time, would love a trapeze class. So on a recent overnight to the city, I signed the 5 of us... More

My boyfriend and I went to their Brooklyn location to try trapeze for the first time and we loved it! While we were hesitant to start (both of us were a bit scared of heights and never did anything like this before), the staff was incredibly patient and supportive as they helped us overcome our fears. By the time it... More

Highly recommended! Great fun flying above the rooftop in NYC. Me and my 17yo daughter had a great time (I'm the 52yo Dad). A little scary at first but the thrill overcomes that quickly. Staff was great - very informative and took safety very seriously. As for the bad reviews - they sound like whiners to me. Yes this takes... More

Ok, so this is my personal review as a first time trapeze flyer, yours maybe entirely different! Let me begin by saying I am an adventure junkie, and a young woman in my late twenties, reasonably fit (I do have those last 10 pounds to lose) and I was really excited about this class! We were less than the max... More

Took my nieces on two separate occasions this summer to the TSNY and can highly recommend. They had such a great time and said it was the best part of their NYC visit. Good location, great views, and incredible staff. Hal, Travis and Annie couldn't be nicer or more supportive. Hats off to you!!!

The good news: no midday sun (it's indoors). The bad news: no air conditioning. Also, the price is outrageously high. The class was very professionally run. While the newbies were getting instructions on how to do their first trick, they let students with experience go up a few times. The instructors were friendly and helped me improve. I had a... More

I did trapeze for my birthday one year and it was the most fun ever. It's a bit difficult and can be scary for someone with heights but it is really fun. I used to be a gymnast so it was awesome for me. It was $90 for the first time and gets cheaper each time you go. The instructors... More

I went with two friends to the Coney Island location expecting to have the time of my life. Instead, I left feeling let down and disappointed. The instructors are nice, but unless you whine or complain (not my thing) they don't give you anything beyond the basic instruction. I was told I had to listen. My friend however, got instruction... Just drove by and saw the sign at Pier 40. Looked it up online and my wife and I found the first open class to sign up. This has to be a must do experience. I'm afraid of heights but who cares. We did it and it was the highlight of our trip. Hal and Travis (forgot the young lady... More

I did a class last January during a week long trip to NYC. The instructors were exceptional and it is a highlight of my travels so far. I would definitely recommend this! I did buy the pictures afterwards and did not feel the quality of them was worth the amount that was charged. I would recommend that a friend just... More

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
