This block was revitalized with the unveiling of the TKTS area in 2008. There is a huge red staircase leading to nowhere and there is a statue of World War 1 hero Father Duffy that stands beneath the steps. Located on 45th street on Broadway.

I didn't realize this was part of Time Sqaure until after I read up on it. This was the area we entered upon walking from our hotel. Lots of lights and stores. Very busy. They were having some kind of gathering when we passed through.
