Neighbourhood: Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.

Park Avenue is a road the runs from North to South through Manhattan. In the North the area is known as the Upper East Side and it is a very elite area of the city.
Walking along Park Avenue there are some very exclusive restaurants and cafes and also shops too.
Worth checking out if you are in the area.

I was taking a long walk on the Upper East Side and strolled here for a few blocks. Love the landscaping down the middle. Also love some of the classic apartment architecture. Many other buildings are plain. Always been one of the streets of the wealthy.

Unbelievably wealthy! Immaculately clean and empty but for residents or a few tourists. Lots of small dogs with diamond studded leashes. Doormen at every entrance.

Park Avenue runs north-south in Manhattan and the Bronx. Per square foot, Park Avenue is some of the world's most expensive real estate. This wide boulevard is a feature of NYC; it runs parallel to Madison Avenue. Park Avenue was known as 4th Avenue in days gone by. Park Avenue is a feature of Manhattan, it's worth taking a stroll along this exclusive boulevard to take in the atmosphere.

Lovely area - quiet and easy to access taxis - quite near some of the New York attractions and good area for seeing New York on foot

PROS
• World famous iconic street
• World famous iconic stores
• World famous iconic buildings
• World famous iconic stuff
* Very exclusive residences
CONS
* Long long street
• Can be crowded with people (including tourists)
• Wide street to cross- could be treacherous
“I VISITED THIS PLACE”…
…. as part of my 28+K step and 18.2 kilometer walk through midtown and central Manhattan. I was here around Grand Central terminal and again in the low 90s of cross streets. My main journey was on Fifth Avenue- from 42nd Street to 93rd Street. I passed and visited all the famous stuff- and enjoyed it.

In the city for 5 days helping our daughter move into her new apartment just off Park Ave. and 30th. Stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, Park, and 33rd St. This area is more like a neighborhood, so much nicer than in the busy areas of NYC like Times Square, etc. Lots of things to do and you're just blocks away from all the highlights of NYC.

Park Avenue is another great NYC avenue for a stroll not as buzzing as Broadway but still good to see.

Hola,
