We went to Athur's Tavern on a Thursday night and saw Eri Yamamoto and her band who were very good, the bar itself was dark and dingy and had authentic feel about it, the only disappointing aspect of our time at Arthur's Tavern was the...More

Sat at the bar and enjoyed the live jazz band. They did covers of Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, etc. The whole place was dancing and singing, fun night!

We went on a Monday night so was quiet enough but the musicians were great - well worth a trip and the 2 drinks minimum was never mentioned to us. You should definitely visit this place you never know who you might meet!

As a NY first time visitor I wanted to try one of the famous historical jazz bars. Visited Arthur's on a quiet Sunday night. The place was half empty and there was a jazz band playing. Unfortunately the experience was half spoiled by the pressure...More

You're in NYC, nothing is cheap, so I wasn't surprised by the prices in this gem of a tavern. There's no cover charge to hear excellent musicians, and the barmaid was great company. There's a 2 drink minimum per person during a set, and credit...More

Yes, it's cash only and the drinks aren't cheap but who cares when the live free music is absolutely fantastic? We heard Eri Yamamoto's trio-three excellent musicians with great acoustics. It's very easy to reach Which is another advantage (just 1 minute from a 1...More

This place is terrible, $7 for a bottle of bud, the music was bad and the staff were even worse. They enforce a 2 drink minimum like everyone has money to throw around. We entered asking when the music started, we were told 5 minutes,...More

We had one of the best dates in Arthur's Tavern. That night played an amazing bend called AJ Sharp's band and they were mind blowing...I wish I could go back once again.

Just returned from partial evening at Arthurs. This place is so refreshing, you don't have to go on line to get tickets, and the music was genuinely played by working musicians. The drink prices were reasonable, and I would recommend this spot for a relaxing...More

Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted

cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
