Great alternative to the big city theaters, Cinema Village offers movies you may not see at your larger theaters. Friendly staff. Saw a great indie film. Great neighborhood with nice choice of restaurants. Tickets can be purchased online or at the box office.

This cinema offers films that often cannot be seen anywhere else. We loved the cozy, friendly theater environment. The neighborhood is a great place to stroll. It's within walking distance of NYU, Union Square, and Washington Square. Many great eating places nearby.

Trendy old style theatre in West Village. Great old films and unique trendy films not available in most commercial theaters.

Very small and old fashioned movie theater, not expensive as well compared to others. Good place to spend miserable day :)

Nowadays, film fans expect the kind of state-of-the-art screening rooms that are at the center of the Tribeca and NY Film Festivals. And it's great that such institutions are being built and frequented. However, there was a time when those of us who enjoyed art...More

Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to
get a feel for this diverse and energetic
neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street
performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the
fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.
