Loved this venue. Beautiful decor and scenery! Sat at window seat and watched the boaters on the park. Service fabulous!

The Loeb Boathouse is where you can rent one of the many row boats and explore The Lake with a special someone. The boathouse also have a cafe that you can visit to enjoy the calming waters of the Lake while enjoying a meal. However, it gets pretty crowded during weekends or festive occasions.

It is a great place to stop for eating while in the Cental Park, as it is right in the middle of the park. They have good options of sandwiches and salads for eating at the external area. Prices are fair.

Waited 20 minutes in a queue. They advertised a choice of about 6 sandwiches, I ordered the tuna on rye sandwich, a Brie and ham sandwich, 2 beers and a portion of fries. I got ham on rye bread sandwich, tuna on normal cold toast. Chips were luke warm. Weirdest thing is there are loads of tables, but only 1/3rd... More

We went to Central Park after the Museum of Natural History and saw people in boats. Did some research and came back the next morning to fo it ourselves. Best $15 spent there. It had some algae near the banks, but did not smell or anything. Turtles were everywhere and we were able to enjoy Central Park from a different... More

I'm really disappointed with this restaurant. I am visiting New York to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday we went to The Boathouse for dinner and although we told them in advance about the occasion they completely forgot. The individual waiter was apologetic but I got the impression they just wanted us to pay the bill and go. No one even... More

The food is excellent - but the service and staff attitude is not! We were given a gorgeous table, but the staff were inattentive or just too busy! We had an issue which we had to raise with the manager at the end - and he was abrupt, dismissive and downright rude! We chose this place for a special anniversary... More

It's hot in NYC and the stroll around Central Park was good but left us very warm. We saw the boathouse and decided to have a drink in their outside bar with a good table available. The beers were $10 each but worth it for the venue and shade. They were ice cold and served by a great and friendly... More
