We had no idea what we were about to get into when I booked our tickets to see Sunset Blvd with Glenn Close. The show is solid but every moment she is on stage is phenomenal. I know why Stars are stars. I don't think we've ever been in the Palace before. It is pretty standard Broadway and we had... More

What a fabulous show!!! Glenn was fantastic and played the role with style. The cast including the two leads were amazing. This play put me through all the emotions - cry, laugh, fall in love and wished life was not so hard - thank you

Really enjoyed the show. Orchestra played the entire time. They were wonderful. My only complaint would be the line for the bathroom. Not much anyone could do about that.

Glenn Close is DIVINE, giving a performance worthy of the character. Loved, loved, LOVED her on the stage. Thanks, Ms. Close, for giving us the Norma Desmond we deserve.

Glen Close is outstanding in this performance as are the other actors. This musical is outstanding. It is an Andrew Lloyd Weber musical and like his other musicals it is outstanding. If you are lucky enough to see this performance you will be excited and I am sure you will enjoy. Michael Xavier is outstanding and he has an incredible... More

I just had to write a little something about going back to The Palace after quite a long time. The place is one of the great old Broadway theaters and has held up very well. The ushers and the bar staff were engaging and helpful. I had a ball. The place is a bit hard to see from the street... More

The theagter is right in Times Square at 47th St. It is a comparitively new theater. We sat in Row Y which meant that we cold see the show but we had trouble with the faces of he actors. This was a fine produc tion with lots of actorws and typical scenery, lighting, songs , and direction. the only drawback... More

I was with my wife seeing Sunset Boulevard at The Palace Theatre this past Saturday and went into the men's room during intermission with a stall and two urinals. I was at the urinal when an usher opened the door to allow a gender specific woman into the men's room while I was exposed. She looked and said sorry and... More

I was fortunate to have gotten two front row seats for this show which was truly memorable, thanks to a tour de force performance by Glenn Close. Because the seats were so close to the performers, we could hear their actual voices (as opposed to totally amplified) which made a real difference. The scenery is inventive. All of the performers... This theater is full of rats, they were all scurrying about, it was horrific, I ran out and did see the show, you can't begin to imagine, I didn't screech out of respect to the cast, the mgr Brooke Smith has refused to reimburse us, stay away unless rats don't bother you

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
