The show is great, different, fantastic at times and did I say different. We sat on stage, but all the seats have a great view. in fact the center balcony looked like they had a great view. It's not a very large theater so again viewing from anywhere should be fine. It is fun to be right in your face... More

An old small theater with limited restrooms. The rows of seats were close together and had limited leg room, but since the layout is wide, rather than deep, all seats have a good view of the stage. I suggest using the restrooms before going to your seat due to long lines. Stairs are necessary if you are seated in the... More

As an older theater, it has the usual problems of small seats with limited leg room and bathroom lines that are out the door at intermission. For some reason, they do not open the house until about 20 minutes before the show causing a line to form around the block since they are now checking bags before you enter. Once... More

Thirteen of us saw Les Mis here. I liked the classic feel of the theatre and the initmate size. My only complaint is that there are VERY few bathrooms and the lines were ridiculous at intermission.

I was fortunate to see the very last showing of Les Miserables at the Imperial. This wasn't my first time to see Les Miserables. It is incredible every time! It is an old theater with too few restroom stalls, but the staff directs traffic in the restroom better than I've ever seen anywhere. Handicapped accessibility is a problem at this... More

The theater did not open it's doors till about 25 minutes before showtime, there was a big crowd and not enough time to peacefully find your seat and get settled in.I have to agree with the rest of the reviewers here when i say the ushers had attitude, either they are all not happy with their jobs or they are... Went to see Les Mis on Saturday evening and arrived around 7:55pm for the 8pm show. Whilst the show was absolutely amazing, the usherettes were shocking and spoke to the audience like they were children - almost baiting the crowd for an argument. Fortunately they didn't start on me or my party - it was just disappointing that they feel... More

I've seen this show a few times it definitely gets better each time. They do sell snacks and water / drinks during intermission water $5 candy was $5. The bathroom lines are huge but they move them so quick it only takes a few minutes. All seats are good this time we did the cheap $37 seats. You could see... More

We saw Les Miserables and it was truly a magical experience. The venue, the cast, the music and all of the play made this the highlight of our New York experience. A must-see!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
