This fountain is well-known, sitting near the center of Central Park and appearing in a number of movies (my kids remember it from the dancing scene in Enchanted with Amy Adams). It is pretty, and we did make a point of walking by it when...More

It's very busy and lots of people around this is a beautiful fountain very detailed and the stair case is also very beautiful. There are toilets here as well as there are not many in the park.

Unfortunately when we visited in winter the fountain had been switched off. I'm sure it's great in summer though

The Bethesda fountain is located about half an hour walk from the Southern entrance of Central Park. It is beautifully designed and is definitely worth a visit.

The best thing about this beautiful fountain is its proximity and centrality to other significant masterpieces of landscape architecture, architecture and sculpture. The fountain and areas within a short walk of the fountain -- the Mall, the Ramble, Bow Bridge, Bethesda Terrace, Bethesda Arcade, the Lake,...More

First up if you haven't been to Central Park before take a map, it can be tricky to find. I don't know if the heat had anything to do with things but the fountain was very green and looked quite murky. Buy a postcard and...More

Well... terrace drive runs alongside where the fountain is... but it's no good for parking. If you rented a car, drive terrace drive, drop off your group and keep driving, if the fountain is on your right, soon you can turn... More

On weekdays -- yes. but it is tricky, doable on weekdays only and probably a bad idea. Get out your map. On weekdays, not weekends, cars can enter the park until 6 or 7PM at 6th Avenue and Central Park So. (59th Street... More
