Neighbourhood: Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Good to see and see inside but not essential
I went out of curiosity and just walked in, took some photos of the inside and exited. Oh and went to the loo! It's stunning inside but nothing much to see. The upper floors were closed. I just went to say that I have been in Trump Towers. Stunning inside the building though.

Thank you Maribel!!! It's worth a visit if you're in the city. I just wanted to stop in and check it out and had some of the best customer service ever! I stopped by Trump Cafe/Sweets downstairs on the lower level and was greeted by Maribel. She was sweet, kind and a great welcome back to Nyc. Thank you for the suggestions. Good job Trump staff.

En passant, by the way ....
When walking 5th Avenue up to Central Park, we saw Trump tower and had a look at it. Very "clinquant"/glittery .... You can visit (for free) the atrium, some shops, sweet snacks place .... restrooms downstairs. Doorman = ok, however there was a very unfriendly and dismissive man at the desk near the elevators. Not worth a detour!

Dislike Trump but good to see an ex American president
We watched Donald Trump actually walking out of Trump tower and getting into a car. We are not fans of Trump and we dislike his politics, but it was very cool to see an ex American president in the flesh! It was a great ‘sightseeing’ opportunity while visiting New York.

The night before we went here we met a guy with a Trump cap on at a bar in NYC. The cap said something like "The Sequel - Trump 2020" -- I asked the guy where he got it and he said the Trump Tower gift shop. We never even thought to visit Trump Tower until this moment so the next morning we went and were blown away with the style of the building's interior and exterior! It was awesome! The gift shop has a bunch of cool stuff, and the cafe is packed with food and drinks for the whole family. The Christmas decor was first rate too! Who would have thought! Thanks!

The architecture is bland to say the least while the inside is incredibly tacky in design. Worth a stop if you are on fifth ave and need to use a bathroom that isn’t busy, just downstairs and open to the public. Other than the bathroom, the cafe and restaurants are over priced with sub quality food.

We went inside to sit down for a few minutes...were pleasantly surprised that they had fountain Diet Coke...which isn't that easy to find in NYC. So...we sat for a few minutes, drank a soda and ate a piece of cheesecake. Nice place to relax for a minute.

So many stylish building are nearby that one wonders why anyone would vsiit this mess of a building. There is nothing subtle about this and it is the hallmark of tastelessness.
Also sadly in need of a makeover. It is in limbo between chic mordernism and classic victorian era building. Miss this one for sure unless you have 80's nostalgia.

Trunp Tower on Fifth Avenue is one of NYC’s most prestigious addresses. The sky high glass tower residences have views of Central Park, Midtown Manhattan, and Downtown Manhattan.
Inside is an atrium with restaurants, bars and and shopping.

Trump Tower was a bit of a “if I’m there” kinda visit whilst in NYC. Not something I felt compelled to do but potentially an interesting one to have a look at if time permitted.

Now full disclaimer - I’m not a fan of the guy - simple as that and enough said on that.

The building itself is quite an interesting piece of architecture and certainly one that can be called out of the Fifth Avenue lineup pretty easy.

From the outside you can see “Trump Tower” plastered above the entrance so no mistaking it really! The Fifth Avenue clock is also outside the front which is quite nice to look at. The chap dressed up as Trump in a mask waiting to charge people for photos, a bit tongue in cheek, but as he’s on public pathways I suspect they can’t move him along.

The interior of the building is actually quite nice, everything has a golden touch to it in a very over dramatic exuberance. The indoor waterfall at the back next to the cafe and sweet store is very impressive. As is the fact the gold lining also extends into the toilets! Probably the fanciest toilets you can relieve yourself in whilst in NYC!

The gift store - I mean if you can put up with his face on everything maybe it’s for you…if not it’s easy to save yourself the money

There is public access to the ground and lower ground floor which has a Grill, Café, sweet shop and public rest rooms. At the rear of the building there is a seated outside covered space. Other than that there isn’t that much here and it appears some of the other stores had closed.

It’s a working building so there is no public access to the other floors.

Why is this open to the public? After facing airport type security one would hope for a glimpse of something special in the world of Mr President. Sadly not. A couple of over priced shops, a closed diner and a Starbucks. Waste of effort.

Politics aside, Donald J. Trump has successfully transformed his home into a shrine of the 45th President of the United States. The skyscraper includes Trump Cafe, Trump Grill and of course, a Trump souvenir shop. An interesting place to take a look, especially when fervent Trump supporters flock to this place.
