Still under construction

What a shame!!! We walked for miles to find it and it's still on construction but never mind at least we still got to see it.

I have been a gb fan since 6 years watching the films old so when i got the chance to come to new york the first place to visit was here even if there was scaffolding covering some of the front it made my life.

We went to find the ghostbusters fire station but there was a snow storm. We found the building but the scaffolding was still up and we couldn't see the floor outside as it was covered in snow. We'll have to go again when we go back to NY.

Always thought the ghostbusters hq building was difficult to get to, after all I only saw it for the first time in 9 visits. Had walked the high line from back up on 40th and followed the route downtown for another 25mins after the high line finished at Greenwich. Really nice walk if you're coming from the midtown end, if... More

Hard to write a review for this because at the time of writing the building is under construction and covered in scaffolding which obscures the view so any pictures in front of this building are spoiled. Not much else to say, next time I’m in the city I’ll certainly go back and check it out but right now I would... More

It had to be done... As a fan of the Ghostbusters films we had to visit the firehouse. Bit gutted really as we didnt find out it was covered in scaffolding due to having a refit and wouldnt be open until sometime in 2017.. However we managed to get a couple of photos of the main firedoor and the logo... More

We walked several blocks out of our way to find the Ghostbuster's Firestation, unfortunately it's still covered in scaffolding and you can't really see it. On the sidewalk in front of the door there are two Ghostbusters paintings that we were able to take a picture in front of.

This was a major letdown, but I should know better to check TA first. They are doing construction on the building, and you can't get a decent picture because of it. Having grown up loving Ghostbusters, I knew this was a must-see stop, so I probably would have gone construction or not. It would be cool to see it once... More

Took ages to find, even the local NYPD didn't know where it was. Completely covered with boards and scaffold. Only visible thing relating to Ghostbusters is the spray paint on the floor.

Can't see any of the building as under renovation. Was a bit disappointed to come out of my way for scaffolding and tarps!

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
