Neighbourhood: Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

We loved these unique statues/fountains. The gardens looked so pretty and relaxing with the beautiful flowers. It would be a lovely place to sit with an ice cream.

These gardens are one of my favorite parts of the Rockefeller Christmas tree! The decorations and greenery that the garden adds to the whole display of the Christmas tree just elevates the whole surrounding area. I have always been impressed by this area in Rockefeller center and thought it was absolutely beautiful!

Channel Gardens is a beautiful stretch of garden and fountains in Rockefeller Plaza. There are also several sculptures as well as plants and bushes and other greenery that complete the picture! A lovely area to sit down for a little while and just enjoy the time.

This is a very pretty and charming area~
Unfortunately, it was so so crowded when I visited that I could hardly get a good view.. perhaps it's better when it's not near the holidays!

Rockefeller Center is one of Manhattan's gems and always attracts a lot of visitors because of its urban design beauty and features. This is one of the best. We were lucky to attend a guided tour.

It's Christmas and we came to Rockefeller Center to see the tree and the whole display. This is urban design at its best and these gardens along the fountain pools are part of the enjoyment. Take a tour if you can.

An important part of the spectacular urban design at Rockefeller Center. Pleasantly crowded with the folks who love this place, as I do. Find a tour to take.

The channel gardens lead up to the tree. The view from 5th Avenue spanning up to the tree across the channel gardens is an epic holiday view in the city.
