Very interesting cultural/historical tour of mostly late 18th century/early 20th century Harlem. Big Onion always has the most interesting tours given by local historians. We followed our tour with an early dinner at Sylvia's.

Excellent informative tour. Quality of tours have stayed consistent since the early 1990's when I took my first Big Onion tour. For those who don't know the tours are given by individuals with a formal education (mostly graduate studies) on the subject of the tour.

Very interesting tour, with lots of details and stories about the cultural, social and economic developments of the area. It would be very difficult to appreciate all that without an experienced guide as the one who accompanied us.

We did the Ethnic Walking Tour today. Our guide, Laura, said it would be a large group (30). I was worried. No need. While 30 is a large group (she said they stop at 40) it was handled very well. Never did I have to...More

Tour guide: Phenomenal. Articulate, sharp, extremely knowledgeable, pleasant, spontaneous, etc., etc. Made it all happen. The back story was essentially the glue. Just excellent.
