Get a hotel at the Jersey side so you could see this view at night. Amazing. One of those must sees like HK from Victoria's Peak.

There is no other city scape that compares to it. The NYC skyline is beautiful and majestic. Whether you observe it from Brooklyn, Staten Island or New Jersey it can't be beat.

We drove by the Hudson river and its a wonderful place to view at night. Really beautiful and a great place to take pictures.

We saw it from Liberty Island and Top of the Rock. You can’t beat the view of all the buildings. Nothing like it.

We were lucky to be on the ferry at the time the lights came on. What a view of Manhattan from the ferry. We watched as the lights on the Chrysler and Empire State Building came on!

a trip to Central Park is fun and great exercise. also visit the High Line on the lower east side. Fun and fascinating and absoletely free!

I would imagine you have a buggy/stroller for your little one. So would suggest: Get a travel card for the subway. You will get your money's worth. Staten Island Ferry - Free, and gives best views of Statue of Liberty... More
