Went to see Life of Pi (great production and show) but avoid the orchestra seats at all cost… they should not even be selling these tickets as they offer practically no visibility of the play and it feels like a rip off. We went to the ticket office to request changing seats before the show and had to wait until intermission to change seats, though other seats were available and ticket staff was rude. This is unfortunate given the amount spent on tickets. Would not return to this theatre… giving 3 stars because of the amazing actors and show

We attended an evening showing of Come From Away at the Schoenfeld Theater and it was such a wonderful experience. The theater is small and intimate, but that really means that there's not a bad seat in the house. You almost felt like you were part of the show. It was easy to enter and to leave afterwards, as well, and the ushers were very friendly and helpful! They did have a small bar/concession stand in the back of the theater that had drinks, snacks and souvenirs, but we didn't stop there. We really enjoyed this beautiful, older theater!

My friend and I visited and she was in a cast/boot. Despite best efforts we arrived late and they held us up in the lobby and had my friend park her scooter on the bottom floor and hop across the back of the bottom floor and up the stairs. The theater is not accessible and they were not accommodating. As we got settled as quietly as possible (as the show had started) they came and told us to move our bags from the isle as it was unsafe; we were at the very top row of the second floor- not sure what was the biggest safety issue, a purse by the isle or my friend hopping across the theater and up two flights of stairs. The show itself (Come From Away) was amazing.

Last week we saw the play Come From Away at this classic historical theater. We had seats in the balcony but the smaller size of the theater and unobstructed sight-lines made viewing a pleasure. Sound acoustics were also superb. We look forward to seeing our next play at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater.

Saw “Take Me Out” at the Schoenfeld Theater in late January. It is a beautiful theater with chandeliers and ornate details. Seats on the mezzanine level - row E, right side - were perfect. Comfortable seats, plenty of leg room and excellent sight lines. The show was outstanding as were the ushers and other theater staff. I look forward to a future show at this theater.

Saw Come From Away two nights ago and you cannot get a bad seat here. We were third-row center which was amazing. No masks are required and easy to enter and leave the venue. Great location too.

What a wonderful theatre. Seats are comfortable enough and the view of the stage is good throughout the theatre. The inside is beautiful. The plays change but the experience will always be exciting. Great location for experiencing the excitement of Times Square.

Couldn't understand how the events of 9/11 could be made into a musical, so I took a chance and purchased tickets long before it opened, and saw it in previews. WOW! This play triggered every emotion one could feel. It truly reflects the good in people, no mattered what. In this troubled world, a must see for all.
Everything about this production was superb, from the multi-talented actors, to the music, and, to the story.
As soon as I returned home, I ordered additional tickets for future dates, and can't wait. I will keep spreading the word about this marvelous show any way I can!!!

There are not too many talented actors in the category of Helen Mirren. You will learn so much about the English people, their politics and the relationship between the branches of government. I was mesmerized by the quality of the acting and the ingenious way they changed the Queen's clothing.

I recently saw the amazing show Come From Away at the Schoenfeld Theatre. While the show was great, it is too bad the actual theatre was poorly designed. The first two rows of the orchestra section need to be removed as they are way too close to the stage. We were in row AA and the stage was higher than my seated head height. There was not much legroom either. Row B would be a good distance from the stage.
There is not much of a rake in the lower orchestra section, so keep that in mind when you order tickets. It looked like the side seats would have somewhat of an obstructed view too. With the price of the tickets here, do some research before selecting your seats.

Sorry but I can't help you. I was so excited to be there that and see the building and the play that I didn't think about the seats !

I will be coming in for a day trip from Washington DC to see the matinee. What is the best way to get to and from the theater to penn station? I’ve never been to New York before and am nervous about navigating. Also, are there restaurants nearby to have lunch?

How are side seats in orchestra?
Written 27 November 2018
We sat in a box, which is as far to the side as possible, and felt like we missed seeing 5 to 10% of the stage. But you can hear fine

We went to this show in July with 7th and 8th grade middle school students. Most of the students loved it - first Broadway show, the music and the message. That being said, I would not take a grade school child as the message and content would be over most of their heads.

My wife and I will be going to a Broadway play (Come from Away) this August. We have the following options for tickets:
- Orchestra A1-A3.
- Orchestra M1-M3.
- Mezzanine D101-102
- Mezzanine F103-104.
If it makes any difference, my wife and I are not the tallest people around (5 ft. 5in or 165 cm). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would go with Row M. I am very short, and sitting in the first few rows hurts my neck. I think you will love it from any seat. It left me with such a feel good feeling. Listening to the score afterwards-available on the internet, I realized how profound the words are. The audience was up on its feet at the end, with a standing ovation I seldom have witnessed, and I've been going to the theater for over 50 years!
