The Longacre Theatre is a beautiful old, ornate NY theatre. We had balcony seats which were high up but a good view- although there is NO legroom. There is no elevator so keep that in mind if you are taking senior citizens. Luckily we stood up to stretch at intermission. The play was excellent with a good story, great sets... More

This Theatre is so lovely. Like most all the theatres in New York it is on the small side but so ornate and beautiful. They don't build them like that anymore! We went to see A Bronx Tale....which was a fabulous show by the way....and we sat in the 6th row of the mezzanine. Before we got there I wondered... More

Visiting this theater was a trip back to the pass. Opened in 1903 is a small place with limited capacity but warm, charming and well located. It is true that the space be tween seats is limited, but of this is forgo tten when you emerge yourself into the play being performed in the stage: we lo ved it. This... More

This was an anniversary gift from my daughter. She knew that both my husband and I were from the Bronx. The show was very good. The theatre was beautiful. The only problem was that the seats were very close. No legroom and I'm short. Otherwise, a very nice evening.

The whole family had the pleasure of taking in A Bronx Tale. First of all unlike most plays made into movie and then made back into a play - this was outstanding! The story line never wavered from one media to the next. The sets, lighting, cast and orchestra were on-time and on the money. We were treated to a... More

We went to the Longacre Theatre to see "A Bronx Tale". The Longacre is an old, small, historic theater, so don't expect a new luxurious venue. The Longacre's atmosphere is pleasant and enjoyable. We arrived about a half-hour before the show. The line was long to get in, but it moved amazingly quick. We got in and seated well before... More

A Bronx Tale was great but seats are small and no leg room at all. I'm only 5ft 10 and my knees were hitting the chair in front of me when I was sitting all the way back in my chair. Sound was good and it wasn't cold inside even though it was 15 deg outside.

We saw A Bronx Tale this past Saturday night. We were in the Orchestra and were able to see everything perfectly. It was a fantastic show and we loved the small feel of the theatre.

We saw A Bronx tale here and were here before for Of Mice and Men. Sat in front row balcony the latest time. Had good view from there. Not much leg room at all. But sound is good from balcony and doesn't seem like many blind spots. We were happy.

After waiting outside in the cold to be let into the theater to see "A Bronx Tale," we were initially happy with our balcony seats on one far end in the fourth row. We had a good view of the stage in this old, intimate theater, and the heads of the people in front of us were low enough not... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
