We discovered this by chance (an advert on a billboard). I googled the venue and realised it was in a hotel in Times Square. We went the next night and ensured that we had enough time to enjoy the 45 minute rotation, pay and leave before the compulsory fee. The drinks were a little more expensive than at the hotel,... We went specifically for a nightcap and the view of the city. There is an $8 entrance fee after 8:00 PM and that's okay. There is a one drink minimum which is plenty for the 360° rotation of The View.

It's ok. The concept is great. But the food left me feeling lukewarm. Not that impressed. Overpriced gimmick slightly redeemed by endless mimosa's and the desserts were lovely. Not the place to go if you're on a budget.

What a great adventure! The food was great! And the view was spectacular... we enjoyed our wait staff and the attendants at the stations were pleasant and knowledgeable of the NYC skyline. We had an amazing brunch and enjoyed our time in this great restaurant!

Tired from long travel day and trying to keep it simple since we were staying at The Marriott. What a huge disappointment! $600 dinner was just plain! Not what we were expecting for NYC food. Thank goodness we have 7 more days. Good view and friendly staff. Other than that, spend money somewhere else. Slow slow service as well. My... More

The food was cold Service was not real great and we did not even get what we ordered. The steak was a NY strip and should have been a Rib-Eye. It was over cooked and cold. Go for the view, not the food.

We planned the meal before leaving the UK and paid what we thought was the price for the whole meal, obviously without drinks. Here's the catch... We weren't told that would limit our choices from a different fixed price menu and having been shown the full one, we'd all selected from this. Long story short, we said sod it and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
