You cannot go here or read a review without singing a bit of Barry Manilow. Go on - just hum it, you will start smiling. It was this club , not the beach in Brazil he was singing about. These days, it trades on the name not the venue, which has changed several times in its long history. I was... More

Visited due to an invite to a sponsored business party. Party took place on upper 3 levels. There were DJs on two of this levels, and nice street view from 1 of the levels. The food and drink offerings as part of the party were good. There is a restroom attendant.

The music was very good but everything else was a disaster, as soon as we got to the club entrance the "VIP" line was longer than the general admission line!!! Don't even bother getting the "VIP platinum" or any VIP package, a total rip off. The table service was horrible! Table was the size of a bedside table for 4... More

It's s very nice place to dance Salsa, Bachata and Merenge directly at the Times Square. The Salsa Club is in the 1st floor, in the ground floor is a bar/restaurant with latino disco music. Tip: to save the admission fee register at the website to get online tickets for free.

Stay away! I was invited to a private party at this club. The security guards bullied me on a cold rainy night. They had no clue about disabilities and service dogs. One pinned me against a wall for close to an hour. I had to call 911 and officers arrived and informed the guards and management of the club that... More

I come here often to dance salsa bachata and meringue. I enjoy Tuesday when they have salsa bands playing and Friday after work salsa was very good but last couple of weeks it has turned to more hip hop regatonne music which I come to the copa to dance salsa so it's been a little disappointing that they have changed... Best night in new York. Only one room was open because it was a thursday or Friday night we went. Quite busy but it didnt matter with the music playing. We love salsa merengue music so mixing that with bashment and pop and alot of alcohol =recipe for success. We found it very hard for people to recommend somewhere to... More

I've been to the Copa many times for salsa dancing. People have to understand this is a dance club. Don't expect any seating and services. Must check your coat and bag for $3.00, cannot bring your own water. There are lots of salsa dancers all different levels. You can bring your own dance partner or find one easily. The classes... Thank you for your review about Salsa Tuesdays! We hope we can meet you next time you'll be on the second floor of the Copacabana. We have two floors open on Saturdays by the way. The second floor is for Latin Music, and the third floor is for mix, house, dance music. There is no other place more cosmopolitan than... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
