The day I booked my tour of Soho, CITITOURS didn't have any other participants; instead of canceling they organized a "private" tour with a professional photographer. It was very interesting and a unique opportunity to see and photography places, roofs, streets from angles I wouldn't have been able to alone. We even were invited to visit one of the oldest... I was lucky enough to make the tour with Peter. He is a world renowned still and cinematic photographer. I am an experienced photographer and I learned lots about getting photos to tell a story and be interesting to the viewer. Absolutely a top experience for anyone that wants to improve their photography.

I was lucky to have the photographer Gildo all to myself in an evening of pictures around Times Square. The hours just went by to fast. he took me to places I would have never found mysef and I am so happy with the pictures. This will suit everone from beginners to experienced. Gildo shows you places and suggest angles... More

This is a great tour for intermediate photographers. The tutor is excellent and well informed. The tour is around 2 hours and covers midtown manhattan.

I really enjoyed the Citifari photo experience. I think the tour would be good for beginners as well as advanced photographers. I got what I needed out of the tour given by Gildo. He enjoyed teaching and never made things too complicated. His expertise show through my images with his guidance and suggestions. Thank you Gildo for a great day.

Well worthwhile. Make sure you do this at the start of your trip so you can learn techniques to use on the rest of your trip. It also helps to get your bearings.

Had a great experience with Rob A. as my photo tour guide during a recent vacation trip to NYC. He was extremely knowledgeable concerning photography and specifically in assisting with capturing some really great NYC moments and sights, was professional and courteous to both myself, my wife, and all the people of the city whom we ran across, and was... My daughter learned a ton from the Instructor/Guide (if I recall, his name was Ciro) and I was her assistant for the day - holding all her equipment. It was one of our most fun and memorable moments of our New York experience. She got a photography lesson AND we saw the most beautiful parts of Central Park.

I booked the citifari Soho tour for my young adult kids. They thoroughly enjoyed the tour inspite of the very cold and dreary day. Their tour guide Guildo was extremely experienced, knowledgeable, friendly and very creative. They loved every minute and felt it was more a photography class than a tour. In addition to taking shots of landmarks, Guildo showed... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
