It was fun

Nolita is a cool neighborhood. It has a distinct New York feel. The architecture is quite attractive. There are some good shops and restaurants.

NOLITA: north of little Italy is a very fashionable, artsy, fabulous place. Walking on the streets you can find amazing artistry in stores, buildings and street fashion.

Excellent, surprisingly excellent. Really nice & modern room, although small but we were not there to spend time in room. Really comfortable bed/mattress. Location very very good, multiple subway lines within a couple of minutes. Canal st 2 minutes away. No restaurant facilities in hotel but multiple varied eateries around. We were very lucky we actually a really pretty view... More

If you're interested in exploring downtown, Nolita is a great location to base a visit to Manhattan. Metro stops in the area, lots of cafes, bars, restaurants and a great bakery Parisi and Wholefoods in the area too.

Visited the Nolita neighborhood in Manhattan for my first time this past weekend and was so pleasantly surprised! There are tons of great shops on Elizabeth street and surrounding area. Some of my favorites included United By Blue, Roots, Wolverine, and Fjallraven (right around the corner). Whether you're looking for a new beanie, jacket, or boots, some of the greatest... More

Tree-lined street, trendy shops, art galleries, brilliant cafes... almost a quaint little village (10 blocks) inside the bustling metropolis.

NoLiTa is the best of what SoHo WAS: a small intimate neighborhood with lots of unique and excellent shops and restaurants. It's characterized by narrow streets, small boutiques, and superb restaurants.

Love the ambience, the streets with the trees, the stores, the food... One of the best independent stores. Tom's, Josefinas, Le Labo...

Nolita isn't a very large area of New York but it fits a lot of good things in to look at if you wander around. Nothing big ticket - although Old St Patrick's Cathedral is definitely worth a visit (and also if you are a movie buff you will remember it from Mean Streets). The Cafe Gitane which overlooks its... Staying in Nolita

Neighbourhood Profile
Nolita
Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for “North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighbourhood is popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry, Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping, there are cozy restaurants and sidewalk cafes serving everything from new-school Italian food to the world-famous cronuts. While small in size (Nolita stretches just a few blocks in each direction), it’s a great neighbourhood to spend an afternoon people watching, window-shopping, and grabbing a bite to eat.
