The Strand bookstore is a well stocked historic bookstore with rare and fine books. The stacks are fun to browse and get lost in.

There are bookshops and there are bookshops - this one though defies any description, absolutely chaotic , no sense of organisation but I've never seen so many books. An absolute must for any book lover.

Without doubt my favourite library in NYC. Rows and rows of new and second-hand books. They have nice stationary, as well.
