There is no doubt that this hollowed New York retail institution curates some of the most exclusive and expensive clothing on the planet. Brands which are hard to find and which other stores might sell in small amounts of can be found in copious heaps of luxury piled high. Unfortunately the spirit of luxury and quality isn’t matched by the level of customer service. After initially being directed to the wrong part of the store, nobody wanted to help me find a particular shirt that I was looking for and after a lot of waiting around, it was clear that nobody had any intention of helping. Maybe it was the way I was dressed but it was clear that the staff didn’t want to actually sell me anything. If you do decide to shop here my advice is to either: 1) Come dressed up and to be prepared to be very aggressive in demanding attention; 2) Know exactly what you want so that you don’t need the help of a sales associate except to ring up your purchase.

I was told in December that I was getting a gift card for the expensive Moncler jacket that I purchased three days before a gift card event. I suggested that I could return the coat and repurchase for my order to be qualified for the event. An associate told me that I didn't need to do so - I could get the gift card in 6-8 weeks. I called them in March and was told that I was not going to get the gift card because my order did not qualify, and the person who talked to me gave me the wrong information. This company is dishonest and inconsistent. I would avoid it.

I bought a Moncler jacket on 4/28/2020 for 1096 dollars and it was lost. BG representatives were rude and told something that was untrue. They just wanna get rid of the responsibility of replacing the item. The man in the executive office was rude as well. He won't listen to you. He was impolite and unprofessional. I got hurt.

I had the exact experience as the other review based on Bergdorf Goodmans website sales. Absolute disappointment! I bought a pair of shoes on Tuesday the 23rd of March for an event on the 26th. I paid extra for the 2 day shipping, but when I called today(the 25th) they said the shoes hadn't shipped yet. Why would anyone pay for expedited delivery if they knew it was going to take 3 days to fill an order? They are misleading and their customer service is below K-Mart level. Stick with Saks or Niemans.....A much better alternative.

I will never buy from Bergdorf Goodman online store ever again, and I will encourage everyone I associate with to stay as far away as possible. What a terrible way to run a business and the worst is the customer service. They don’t care about their customers at all.

My boyfriend did buy me a Dyson hair dryer a few weeks ago. First his 15% welcome coupon code wouldn't go through, so we chatted with customer service and they fixed that and confirmed that the Dyson Dyson Supersonic™ Hair Dryer, BGS20_C3D0V is qualify for the 15% welcome code. And we bought it and everything went well.
After only a few days I also registered and I wanted to treat myself and buy the Dyson Corrale hair straightener and the same thing happened with my 15% welcome code as well, but only this time when I asked customer support to do it manually they were very rude and tried to make me feel crazy by telling me that Dyson is an excluded vendor/designer that does not qualify for the 15% welcome code even if I sent them a screenshot where they confirming that 15% welcome code was approved just a few days before.
Good thing I didn't place my order, I wanted to check first just in case...
Obviously, the rules are not consistent and for sure they've lost me as a customer...

I had Afternoon Tea (via required reservation) on my own whilst my husband and son attended a hockey game at MSG. The cost was $75 plus tax and tip for just myself (total ended up being in the high $90s). When the small metal, double tiered serving platter was brought out, I was surprised at how unimpressive it was. Plus, the small top platter happened to be broken, causing it wobble and be noticeably tilted. I was served three finger size triangles of tea sandwiches made with stale bread 😳, a couple macarons, a scone with butter/jam (which was up to par and I know a good scone), a few bite-size iced cakes, and a very small pot of breakfast blend tea (which was thankfully delicious). When I asked for refill of tea, I was told I could have more hot water but would have to reuse the [spent] tea leaves that were already in my pot. I understand that it’s not meant to be value-oriented, but I did expect higher quality and standards. Sadly, for these reasons, I can not recommend afternoon tea at BGs. :-(. I will be looking for better places to have afternoon tea, the next time I’m in NYC.

I returned a $2500 handbag because they shipped the wrong item. They returned it almost a month ago per their instructions and have not refunded my money.
I will shop elsewhere in the future. Absolutely useless customer service. Not sure if they understand English.

I ordered an item online at BG with curbside pickup in NYC. The expected wait time was shown as 2 days. Although FedEx tracking clearly shows that the merchandise was delivered to the BG store no one ever contacted me. When I contacted the store and the online customer service, neither was able to tell me what the status was or where the merchandise actually was. I never received the item, but my credit card was fully charged. When I requested a refund my numerous mails were unanswered.

Well, after four different customer service agents assured me over the course of the last week that my wedding dress would be shipped and arrive on time for my scaled-back covid wedding, it indeed will not. As I suspected, it's not a covid delay, it's not because it's being shipped from a store, and it's not a number of other excuses they gave me for why it hadn't shipped in over two weeks. They never had it in stock to begin with, and finally, after keeping me on the hook all this time, my order was cancelled with an impersonal email and a 10% off coupon with just 4 days left before my wedding day. Do not shop at Bergdorf Goodman online!

I’ve been trying to make an online purchase and they get canceled every time. It’s been 5(five) times now. I receive an email saying that my information cannot get verified. I make online purchases every week and never had this problem anywhere else. It’s ridiculous. Someone called me today from their “Bergdorf” credit card dept to “verify my info”. They verified all my information and said that everything looked great and that I would never have this problem again. Guess what? I opened my email an hour ago saying my purchase had been canceled again. What a joke!
