I visited twice. Once in Lucille's for a show. And another time in the main showroom. While the food is decent, I wouldn't go for that. Find a show that sounds interesting and get tickets. Both Lucille's and main show room are intimate. The shows require a $10 per seat in addition to the price of admission. So I had... More

We went to the Harlem Gospel Choir brunch on Christmas Day - don't expect fine dining and a refined atmosphere, this is a laid back sharing-caring, queue-up and get your own buffet-bonanza brunch! We booked in advance on Ticketmaster (around $150 for three of us) and made sure we arrived early at the venue. We did not get to choose... More

Booked a VIP ticket for myself and my wife for the new years party here, bearing in mind the security for times square area we arrived early and were queuing outside the bar at 18:45, the ticket stated the start time of 19:00, showed our tickets to the door staff and were to continue to wait in line, when we... date night go to a goldstar and get a free ticket to watch a cover band of a famous immortal musician that may not be around anymore, have some drinks and some food, it is a great experience for a mellow date night.

Went to see Harlem Gospel Coir on Christmas Eve. The gospel coir was excellent but the venue in it self was typical tourist machine. Next time I will pick another place for a concert.

Went to 12/30 Tower of Power 9:30 show. Doors advertised to open at 9pm. Opened at 10:05. People had been on line over 2 hours. Show started before half the ticket holders had entered. 80% of the crowd missed some part of show. Heard those at end of line only heard 6 songs. They made band stop after one encore... More

We went to see Tower Of Power on December 30th 2016. Tickets were for the second 9:30pm show. We were forced to stand out side on 42nd street in a long line until 10:20pm in the freezing cold. There was no information whatsoever given by the very very unfriendly bouncer. Finally on the the way down the stairs we were... More

We saw Darlene Love here recently, paying for VIP seating. We were within 20 feet of the stage, though we were packed in like sardines. Darlene did a Christmas show; we would have liked to hear more of her recent music. There was a $10 minimum for drinks. One of our party ordered two double Tito's vodka and sodas, at... More

We went to see Tower of Power and had 6 tickets for a reserved booth . The show was supposed to start at 9:30 . We walked up and learned the earlier show ran overtime and now a line the length of a full NYC block in 34 degree weather was where we would stand for over an hour despite... More

We went on a weekday to hear the Harlem Gospel Choir. It was a terrific performance - very inspiring with enthusiastic performers. There was a $10 dollar minimum per person food charge, but the server didn't get around to our table until the show was over, so we declined to order anything and we weren't sorry to have missed out... Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
