Nice tour run by Caroline who had a great knowledge of the history of Harlem. Enjoyed the visit to the Baptist Church which we felt very welcomed and was amazed at the energy of the Pastor and all those that attend

Fantastic experience with our terrific guide Carolyn Johnson (who knows everyone in Harlem)! Saw all the sights and learnt so much about the history and area that is Carolyn's home. We then joined the Memorial Baptist congregation for Sunday service which was inspiring energetic and uplifting - a privilege to be part of. We highly recommend this tour!! Thank you... More

The concert was not good. It was supposed to start @ 11 am. At that time they were still setting up the speakers on stage and the program did not begin until 11:30 am. However, it did not actually start then, they just started a song and then said it was a test. It actually went downhill from there. As... More

Pathetic and hilarious experience for this Xmas Harlem Gospel Holyday Celebration on december 24th. Scheduled at 11 am, the "show" could only started at 11:35 after laborious and approximative tuning of the instruments and microphones. First time in my life, I saw people leaving a show 5 minutes after the start. We laughted to tears listening to the choir and... More

After a very disappointing experience on Christmas Eve I gave a scathing review about the Mt Olivet Gospel concert. On Christmas DAY Carolyn, the president of Welcome to Harlem, not only promptly refunded our money she wrote emails of apology and offered to give us complimentary tickets to another concert. We have left the city and cannot take her up... More

I can't comment on their jazz events, but I attended the Harlem Gospel Holiday Celebration, a ticketed concert on 24 December. It was terrible. The organizers and the choir looked completely confused - they basically had no clue what they were doing. The singing was all over the place, often neither the musicians nor the singers had any idea what... More

Music was wonderful. A great venue for listening to jazz music. We loved it. Worth the money and we had a great time.

It was a really good afternoon. I was meant to do the Harlem Jazz Tour on the Sunday but the weather was terrible. So I had to change the day & it was easy to change it to Tuesday. I still wish I had opportunity to do Harlem Tour but this made up for it.
