Description:

City Running Tours offers both guided group and personalized running tours...

City Running Tours offers both guided group and personalized running tours to accommodate any athletic ability, style, training regimen or specific landmarks. Our goal is to shape each tour based on our client's needs both as a runner and a tourist and because of this, they love the intimacy, breadth of knowledge, and the unique and local perspective that our running tours offer.

We are a team of running enthusiasts providing an opportunity to experience a city in an exciting way. We connect with like minded individuals from all over the world because of our passion for running as well as the city we call home. Through this reward, we are able to showcase the history and culture of a city while promoting a healthy lifestyle, instilling self confidence and making people feel like themselves.

Our service is ideal for the business traveler who is tired of the hotel treadmill, the marathon runner who is training for a race, or the recreational runner who wants to explore new and interesting routes. Experience New York City at street level through the eyes and legs of someone who works, plays and runs there. Share your love of running with us as we share our city with you!

I really wanted to run in Central Park but as I would be on my own I was a little apprehensive. I signed up for the 8am Central Park run and I'm so glad I did. Matt, the guide was super friendly and knowledgeable taking us past the Dakota Building, The Green, Reservoir, 5th Age etc. Plenty of photo opportunities... More

My mom and I were visiting for the Big East men's basketball tournament and are training for a half marathon. We were hesitant that morning because of how cold it was but we decided to give it a try. We are both so happy we did! The tour was small - 3 runners and our tour guide - and this... More

I had a pleasure of joining Beth on her tour of the Manhattan and Brooklyn this morning. She was awesome. Very caring and super knowledgeable about the city. We ran for about 5 miles total with a number of stops to take photos and for Beth to talk about certain locations. Overall a fantastic experience and one of the best... More

While visiting NYC for a whirlwind weekend trip, Hubby & I needed to keep up our marathon training...and rather than run on a boring, old hotel treadmill, we booked the services of City Running Tours. David was our guide, and we met up with him promptly at 8:00 a.m. on a PERFECT Sunday morning for a guided run through the... More

I was in town for business and wanted a longer (9-10 mile) run before my day of meetings started. I booked a personal tour. The price was very reasonable and David was a great guide. He was easy to talk to, very knowledgeable, and could run my pace. I will certainly run with City Running Tours when I'm back in... More

I'm glad I did this tour and would recommend it to other runners. Great way to see Central Park, especially for the first time, and meet other runners. My only recommendation is run more and talk less. The tour stops where too many and too long for me. That being said, I average about 40 miles a week at a... More

Louis was a fantastic guide. He gave us really clear instructions on where to meet, he arrived on time and then took us on a fabulous running tour of the Brooklyn bridge area. Louis gave us lots of interesting facts and stopped us for some great photos in the morning light. Louis let us set our own pace, so there... More

I was traveling with my non-running husband on business and wanted a way to incorporate a run and still enjoy the sights and sounds of the city. This run tour accomplished that and more! My tour guide, David was super informative and very prompt and precise with our times and routes. Leading up to our run, I was contacted a... More

We met our guide Victor near City Hall for our running tour at 7am (still dark !) and were soon off at a gentle pace in the cool morning NYC air. First over the Manhattan Bridge to DUMBO and Chinatown, making regular stops for the sights and photos. Then back over the Brooklyn Bridge giving fabulous views of the Manhattan... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
