Good way to see New York but most of our time was wasted waiting at the bus stop every bus that came was full some commentary was better than others. We bought the pass that included museum, Top of the Rock, river cruise and Woodbury Common. It takes far longer to get around than you think so didn't get to... More

We have purchased the 72 hour Hop On Hop Off bus tour at every big city we visit that offers it. 7 years ago we did this one in NYC and it was GREAT! This time we went with our children and were very disappointed. We could hardly see out of the plastic covering becasue it was so scratched up.... More

I did the Midtown and Downtown tours and they were both very interesting and made entertaining by the tour guides. In particular, Siaka did a great job or informing and entertaining and even threw in a free NY movies quiz when we got stuck in traffic.

Tour guides are knowledgeable. Hop off when you wish and hop back on after you have finished. Go uptown and downtown Manhatten. Go to Brooklyn and Go and go to the Bronx. Go to pier and get on the ferry for the Statue of Liberty. Best way to see NY and get around

We were in New York City recently for a 4 day long weekend and thought this hop-on hop-off bus tour would be a good way to see the city. Well it was just a big disappointment! It was way over priced for what we got out of it. A taxi would have been much better and less expensive. The worst... More

Hop on hop off buses are a great way to get an overview of a city, and for tourists to get around to major attractions. I've rode several different hop on hop off buses on two continents, and always been pleased. City Sightseeing New York, although still a decent value, left me a disappointed. I rode 5 of their buses... More

Just finished a 72hr ticket with Gray Line. Pros of using this service: You learn about the city and buildings as you pass them, facts that you probably wouldn't have learnt otherwise. You see the city from a higher perspective (if you sit upstairs), therefore allowing good photo opportunities. New York is a large city, and if you are here... More

Not only is it a waste of money, but the ticket sellers are not 100% honest with you about what is included in the tour. They failed to tell me and my partner that: 1) it was delayed due to bad weather so instead of waiting 20 minutes, we had to wait an hour and 20 minutes. 2) they said... More

This is an excellent way to see the busy large city, we took advantage and bought a ticket for 48 hours and used it on the ferry too.

We were extremely disappointed in our experience. We used this same company the last time we were in NYC, and loved it. However, this time was a different experience entirely. We waited 20 minutes for a bus to show up, which was expected. But the bus driver told us the bus was going out of service and we would have... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
