Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. Our guide said it was a statue to "First Responders", to honor all who respond first in time of need.
It is a nicely done statue that deserves a more prominent location in the park

Located in Liberty Park, it's a great monument for the United States Special Forces and their response to 9/11. I think we forget or overlook that there was an Afganistan War after 9/11, so this is a good reminder for all. We focus so much on all the lives tragically lost that day and need to remember that these brave men and women fought for our Freedoms.
