Very unique subway and/or walking experiences available as part of a guided public tour or guided private tour that is different from most standard guided food tours. We also offer self-guided On Your Own Experiences which are food walk-throughs of various New York neighborhoods and are designed to help save you money over eating in tourist restaurants. Our self-guided On Your Own Experiences can be used as a tour, a list or as a tour first to sample and you can return to your favorites for full meals. Each Experience also includes some low cost breakfast options near major tourist attractions. Our guided tours are true eating tours, not sampling tours and we also offer restaurant recommendations (as noted in many reviews) on our guided tours to help you eat well and save money for the rest of your trip. You choose what you eat and how much. You'll see non-tourist neighborhoods in a relaxed manner and while on the guided tours you will be mingling with others from around the world in a larger group format that is much like a field trip. For those who do want to experience great restaurants and save money we offer our Customized Restaurant Concierge Service. This is a personal service available through by contacting us directly that helps you save and eat great based on your lodging location, attractions you are seeing, food preferences and budget. To experience a culture one must experience their cuisine and since New York is the world's melting pot its many cuisines is its shared culture. Food On Foot Tours takes visitors beyond the tourist attractions to the largest buffet in the world, New York. You'll see the neighborhoods where New Yorkers live and eat. You'll share our passion for all things New York and travel the way New Yorkers do, by subway and foot.

We had Corey show us around and sample the local delights, I really enjoyed the tour. Was super full by the end of the tour with out much expense at all. Was about 20 people or so in our tour with anymore I wouldnt have really found it that great as standing to eat would have been more frequent. Would... More

We joined the tour on the 3rd of January and it was fantastic. The food at each stop was incredible - pizza, tacos, sandwich, prune strudel at the bakery stop and cheese cake. The weather wasn't great on the day of the tour but this didn't dampen spirits or the passion of our guide. He also spent a good amount... More

My wife and I did a tour with Corey recently and loved it! Not only did Corey take us to some great little "eateries" but his commentary and "banter" was really interesting. Great guy, great tour - highly recommend it :) Bring your appetite and for us, the NYC Pizza was the highlight.

I did a food on foot tour with Corey five years ago when I was in New York and have just done my second. Corey takes you to eat where the locals eat and gives names and locations of other great restaurants to try in NYC. Best to do it early in tour trip so you have a chance to... More

Had a great time on this tour! There are lots of rules at the beginning which put me off at first but don't be deterred! Corey has fantastic local knowledge and only wants everyone to have a great time and eat great food. We went to 5 great places that I never would have found without this tour. I particularly... I had a great experience with Corey. A lot of instructions were given but none too complicated. We had a great walk and enjoyed some great places. I loved all of them. My friend whom I was partnered with and I bought full portions of pizza and shared some dumplings. I also enjoyed the other places. The only one I... More

Winter in NYC... my daughter & I were enjoying our time in the city & this tour was a highlight. A NY slice (yum), a trip on the Metro, traditional Mexican taco (yum), chatting with other tourists, an excellent meatball sub (yum).... a terrific way to spend a few hours in parts of this city we hadn't explored to that... On our last full day in New York we met our guide Corey and a large group of like minded individuals keen on experiencing this tour. The detailed description of what to expect and instructions for tour on booking were great! We as a family (2 young teens) all have large appetites, so we were a little disappointed when Corey... Had a great time on this winter tour. The food stops were delicious and from places I never would have seen. Corey was able to provide the odd fact about the places without turning it into a fact based tour. Corey was engaging from beginning and encouraged everyone in the group to actively participate - without having to step out... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
