We went by ourselves and it was a great opportunity to see a different neighbourhood. Very quiet. Beautiful brownstones. We mainly wandered along Malcom X Boulevard. We saw the Apollo Theatre and ate at Sylvia's Soul Food.

First of all I have to apologize to Neal and everyone involved with "Harlem Heritage Tours". THIS IS NOT ABOUT THEIR TOURS which I hear are excellent! This review is about "HARLEM On Sunday" That is the title on their one card advert in the hotel we stayed in. This is a terrible tour, not work the $65 we spend... More

I was finding my way to central NYC, by shuttle bus from LaGaurdia airport. As I was new and I am generally more comfortable getting around by Subway, I got off the bus as soon I saw the stop had a subway station close by. On getting down, I didn't need to be told that I hadn't chosen well. This... More

It's very sad, but it was one of my worst traveling experiences. From the beginning everything was problems. The man and the woman who were in the reception were very unpleasant and even came to be disrespectful because we didn't understand everything they said, they started to scream. Very disappointing by people working in a church, and because you go... More

During my trip to New York, Harlem was one of the definite highlights. Away from the hustle and bustle of central Manhattan, Harlem provides a more authentic view on American life. We were lucky to visit Harlem on a Sunday so managed to catch a gospel choir on full flow and also try some great soul food. Highly recommended

Great night in Harlem. We visited three different "joints" , different styles but all with great music and great atmosphere. Our guide, Gordon, was known and respected in each club and we were treated as honoured guests in each club. An experience to remembered.

I love the culture and history of Harlem. I felt like was walking and standing in the middle of history. I felt honored to be in Harlem.

Harlem is definitely worth the visit. Lots of old building like the court house that are neat to see and photograph. The Famous Apollo Theatre is located here in Harlem and if you are wanting to attend a good church service on Sunday Morning there is no where better to attend a service than right here in Harlem.

Originally when I booked my trip I was going to stay in Brooklyn. I noticed the AirBnB was getting bad reviews so I canceled and looked for another place. My choices were slim so I ended up getting a place in Harlem. Let me tell you this was a blessing in disguise. I stayed on 135th st off Frederick Douglass... More
