I always enjoy walking Madison Ave; a nice selection of shops, boutiques, restaurants, sidewalk cafes. It has a different 'feel' from Fifth Ave.

You will find the best high end boutiques along Madison Avenue whether from Hermes to Ralph Lauren. Madison Avenue is also home to the iconic Barneys New York. Prefer to shop on Madison Avenue versus Fifth Avenue; less touristy.

If you want to do shopping for less than Fifth Avenue choose Madison. It is close to the Met and home to the Morgan library and museum. There are many restaurants nearby. Definitely worth the visit.
