A great way to see the Statue of Liberty- free

This is a great thing to do with kids. It is free, doesn't take too long and there are great views. We were lucky enough to meet a family who lived on Staten Island while we waited for the very and they took us under their wing and showed us the best way to get good views. The kids loved... More

We opted for the free ferry to get our view of Statue of Liberty. It was quite hectic, but all passengers managed to flow smoothly onto ferry. The view of the statue is fine IF you manage to get on the correct side of the ferry. Don't be swayed by other operators who are trying to sell you cruise tickets!

a free attraction that allows you to look to NYC skyline from the sea, 40 min round trip. Very nice - and cold - at night

Yes I said free! Nice way to see the Statue of Liberty and city skyline. Would definitely recommend to families for nice free activity in NYC. Jumped on and off for a quick turnaround trip.

It's free, you get to see the Statue of Liberty (there and back) but transport is rough and ready and not made for comfort, but I repeat, it's free!

From the ferry, you get nice views of Manhattan, Ellis Island the Statue of Liberty, and Governor's Island. The best free alternative to paid cruises.

How can you not rate this anything but 'Excellent'. Free entry & a view of the Manhattan skyline, Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island etc. Obviously it is so much better if you don't go at the height of commuter time, have good weather & a calm sailing.

Did the free ferry crossing to get to see the Statue of Liberty close up. Well it was closeish and there was a huge photo shoot as we went by. The ferry is a commuter ferry and should be viewed as exactly that. Got off at the other side with the intention of having a look around. There is nothing... More
