Situated in the heart of Wall Street, Federal Hall offers a glimpse into history and an opportunity to stand on the steps where our first president took his oath of office. Technically, they tore the original building down and reconstructed it, so while not entirely original, it's definitely worth a visit.

This is a great place for those that love American history. See several artifacts inside from when George Washington took his oath of office. Beautiful inside as well.

While walking through Lower Manhattan, I stopped by Federal Hall. The site of George Washington’s inauguration, it is now a National Monument. The imposing building is marked by an equally imposing statue of Washington. Aside from a few small displays, there are not many exhibits in the building. Still, it is worth a stop for its connection to history.

I would definitely recommend taking the tour guide a tour of Federal Hall. It is very well marked and the exhibits are interesting but the tour adds another level to the history of the place.

There is so much to see in this beautiful architectural gem. The first presidential inauguration and the history of the beginning of our country are focal points. Even discounting history, this building is amazing for its architecture. A must-see, it is near Ground Zero and Trinity Church.

The building is a gem, and the exhiibits are well laid out to interest tweens. They have interactive games that our grandkids have loved enough to want to go back

Although this is not the original Federal Hall building that was destroyed by fire in the old days, this is still a beautiful classic architecture building with a little museum inside. They also rent the space out for corporate events, you can have a dinner in the main hall for 200+ people and F&B is of good quality.

There isn't a rating on Trip Advisor between "Poor" and "Average." There should be because, as this place demonstrates, it deserves a "Fair," not "Poor" rating. Having said that, unless you are a real history buff, I would recommend skipping this place. This is the location where George Washington took the oath of office and was later where the first...
