This area is the residence of many of the elite and well to do in New York City. Worth a stroll through to see the buildings.

Great vibe and so much to see even if you are window shopping. Visual delight and a must whether you are a local or visiting our beloved Big Apple.

Many of New York's best museums are located here. And Fifth Avenue along Central Park is splendid. This is New York's most expensive neighborhood, so the businesses reflect the money, as to the perfect apartment buildings. Not very well served by public transit.

Wish I was here a warm summer day, the buildings are very exclusive and you have alot of green areas around. If you are a gossip girl fan, this is the place to be!

Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have
easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural
institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most
livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth
Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of
the nation's most famous attractions in a single
stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the
Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the

On April 27th, I am taking my mom to NYC for her 70th birthday. It's a surpise. She grew up and lived at 1030 Fifth Ave/84th Street. She went to Sacred Heart School and tells stories of the neighborhood. My parents were married at St Ignatius Loyola. Her sisters are coming to surprise her. SO - I would like informaton on places that have been there or in business when she was growing up...restaurants or cool things in that area or the city.I know it is a long shot. Also - I need a great location to stay and a great restaurant to have her bithday dinner. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great!

Hi Jennifer, IF I read this correctly, you were here during all the snow just two weeks ago! Didn't you think it turned the streets and buildings magical? I'm surprised you felt unsafe and sorry you didn't have a better time.
